On my van it starts the on-board compressor.

On my rig that switch is for the Aux backup lights in the rear bumper...

Re: What's this cool switch and green light on my lower dash

The switch and light might not have anything to do with each other...plus I have 6 switches on that kick panel, air, amps, backup lights, electric steps, high idle, & backup alarm.
Mine (the green light) is the 4x4 engaged indicator but just because it's on doesn't mean it's fully engaged...I've seen that before

Re: What's this cool switch and green light on my lower dash

I have a 2006 also and have the same set up except it's on the right hand side. The light is my 4wd indicator and the switch is my on-board air compressor switch.

Re: What's this cool switch and green light on my lower dash

I was thinking it may be the auxiliary idle switch, assuming the van is a diesel.

Re: What's this cool switch and green light on my lower dash

That's the fuel efficiency switch. The van gets 10 with it off and 25 with it on, which you can then brag about on forums.
