Where's your twin 4D Lifeline batteries?

I have an EB50 with one 4D battery mounted between the frame rails behind the rear axle and in front of the under floor storage. It's approaching the end of its useful life and I want to replace it and give it a twin brother (or is it a sister). I could fab another bracket to mount underneath next to the original, but am considering other locations too.

Those of you with two 4D batteries, where are they? Photos would be great with your reply.

Thanks -
Phil

Phil I think there is a post showing this. Mine both fit in next to one another where your battery is. SMB did the job. I had just enough room.

Re: Where's your twin 4D Lifeline batteries?

Thanks Dave. I knew I saw pictures somewhere before, but couldn't find them using the search.

I'm sure my second battery will end up there too, but is there any other creative solutions floating around?

Mine is in the closet all the way at the rear. It really ruins all the space under the closet and I'm moving it under with the other one as soon as I have the opportunity to build a dual tray.. among other things it's huge. I don't think there is any "good" place to put it inside.

There are a number of pics earlier in my gallery that show our two 4Ds behind the rear end.

Re: Where's your twin 4D Lifeline batteries?

I had SMB replace my existing house battery and add a second underneath next to the original one (like Greg in Austin's). Perhaps I can now rid myself of the "Power Nazi" reputation I have with my family.

SMB charged an arm and leg to do the work, but it was much less than the medical bills would have been if I had attempted the work.

BTW, they now are using Deka brand batteries instead of Lifeline. They said the reason was that Lifeline was fighting warranty claims and that Deka has a good product with good customer service.

Hopefully they hold up for many years!

The Badgers mounted theirs along the LHS of the vehicle as I recall. www.badgertrek.com
