Fridge:
Current a Dometic RM2451
120v and Propane
Propane problematic as needs to be level from what i can tell

Wilson 1.0 had a Truck Fridge
120v and 12v
Model 49 or 65 as i recall
TruckFridge.com - Quality true 12 volt DC compressor refrigeration with freezer - Georgetown, KY Exit 129 next to Piolt Truck Center - many models to choose from.
worked great
always on, had big solar panels and 200 amp hours of batteries
per specs, drew 24 watts an hour

Problem:
need fridge to run all the time
need to keep stocked for day trips after work
and off the grid camping
NOT gonna run the gen, not gonna have hook ups

THINKING:
Truckfridge 130
TruckFridge Model: TF130 AC/DC [115 V AC/12 V DC]

24 watts per hour

I have one house battery with 102 amp hours, new today
(short notice purchase, it is an interstate, better choices, but amp hours from my brief research about the same)

Questions:
how long will 102 amp hour AMG run the Truckfridge?

what size solar panel to keep it topped up?

what is the solar panel brand and controler brand that is awesome
(Wilson 1.0 had a blue sky controler)

I'm running the huge Truckfridge 2600 in my RV (actually a Vitrifrigo, most of their units are).

It replaced the craptastic Norcold 3-way that gave out way too soon. I have 300 watts of Renogy panels with a BlueSky Sun Charger 30 and two Interstate lead acid deep cells.
I don't know the numbers but watch my digital amp in/voltage displays and I can comfortably run it 24/7 with decent sun and semi-regular driving.

Do you have room for a second house battery?

I should know that but I don't. I bought them in Bishop Ca one day on a trip when my other ones died because my charging solenoid died. I'll have to look. They're interstate marine batteries, group 31, so if Google is right they're around 90-100 ah.

Oh, I had a TF130 in my SMB. Awesome fridge. Sipped power and plenty roomy. If it fits your MH cabinet you can't go wrong there. I do not know of a better value than TF these days. I bought one of their chest fridges for my current van and it has been sitting at 34 degrees for a week running off one 130 watt panel and a group 29 battery. Voltage is about 12.9 every morning when I check it before the sun even clears the trees.

will find another spot for another group 31

gotta climb on roof and see space available and size
i think two of the long skinny ones will work

If I vented to the outside like I did in my sports Mobile and build a cabinet around it can you guys think of any reason why I can't stick a 4 D AMG underneath my dinette??

i am talking towards the wall where my daughters shoe and toy is ;-)

I had a vent on Wilson 1.0
Don't really know if it's needed

AGM batteries do not need to be vented.

So
vent or no vent (i am undecided)

Under the dinette table?
- easy to do
- wiring easy, close to existing house battery
- simple "box" cover
- i dont need the leg room, table will sit me and baby girl only

Under the rig
- will require welding and special rack
- PITA to run wired and service

My thoughts
- stick under dinette, i can always sling underneath
- will the @ 100 pounds on that side be a problem

Thoughts ?
