Dynamatt and Winterizing pricing as of June 2009

from SMB Fresno today, 16 June 2009

Here are the options and prices for the Dyna-mat:
1) just the cab area $350
2) cab with 2 front doors $500
3) cab with 6 doors $800
4) complete interior $1300
5) complete with underhood $1470

The winterizing package is $180 which is extra R-15 in the doors.
We also offer an Artic Shade package, $344 and that is R-11 material with
our curtain material sewn on the inside, and they press fit into all the
glass windows for extra insulation.

Those prices seem fine to me, up here in the semi-frozen North. Wish I had gotten them on my 2006 build, rather than having to some of them myself.

Re: Dynamatt and Winterizing pricing as of June 2009

I just found a suitable van and am starting to research specific options.

Does the Dynamatt make a big difference? Would it help in hot weather as well?

Thanks.

I believe the Dynamat might offer some thermal insulation properties, but it's real value is in the sound insulation properties, and it is well worth it in my opinion.

As for the extra thermal insulation in the doors, I'm not sure how much that would help unless a similar product was utilized in the walls as well. Insulation is really only as good as the poorest part of the thermal barrier.
