My 'other' 4x4 is a LR Discovery II...and this things has incredible stock suspension. I'm spoiled with that ride on/off road.
The leaf spings in the SMB are commercial truck springs...and ride like it. I have a small fleet of moving trucks at my work and have grown up driving them, so I am familair with a truck-like bumpy ride. If you are looking for a smoother ride, perhaps the S-K is the way to go. Not having ever ridden on a S-K rig, I can't confirm that but I imagine the front coil spring suspension is smoother on the highway bumps and overall driving.
For off roading in a 10,000 lb mobile condo, the leaf design is probably the best solution for simplicity and durability, IMO.
As far as repairs, the SMB 4x4 system is probably the last thing that will need servicing...it is overbuilt. Both Dynatrac & Atlas are in So CA and within a 30 mi radius from me, so I saw that as a plus factor in going w/SMBs package in case I ever needed repair work completed.
