Re: New Roof Air on 2001 Cruiser Top

Step 1: call again tomorrow.
Step 2: call again later in the day and talk to someone else.
Step 3: call another SMB location (e.g. Austin)
Repeat @step 1 until you get the answer you want.

Or- a standard RV shop may also be able to do this, since the roof AC is the type they're probably more used to.

Also you'll want to clarify "cannot" vs. "will not". SMB Indiana wouldn't even talk to me about putting another battery in my used SMB, so YMMV.

Re: New Roof Air on 2001 Cruiser Top

Thats funny...I just removed my Coleman Mach III roof heat and air to install a Fantastic vent fan. I just posted it on Craigslist! Anyway installation is simple. Most roofs allready have a standard 14" roof vent or a simple square hole can be cut. You lay the roof unit on the roof and screew a retaining ring in from the inside. 4 more screews to hold up the grill and controll unit. It has standard 3 wire AC connections and with a little caulk your done. Any RV place or handyman could do it in a couple of hours but it's a DIY project especially if you all ready have a 14" vent hole in your top and you can muscle the unit on the roof. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/s ... hp?t=28272
