Trip To SMB West

I'll be at SMB West on Wednesday the 28th to finalize my order for an '08 SMB. If anyone would like me to take pictures of any work in progress, I'd be happy to do so if I can. Let me know before Wed. morning, and give me a description of the van, and I'll do my best to get some shots.

Bill

Hi Bill,

It would be awesome if you can catch our rig in the production line! We have an EB 4x4, Dark Metallic Gray, with a semi custom lay-out. Have a safe trip and congratulations!

Thanks, Herb-
Ain't it the truth!
By the way, it sounds like you know whereof you speak, and judging from the list of options on your own rig, you "been there, done that, & got the tee-shirt!

Bill

P.S.
My wife & I have been talking about buying one of these things for about 5 years. I guess we were just waiting for the price to double and Diesel to top $5.00/gal. before we actually got around to ordering one!

Bill,
Just don't go for the screens. I've had mine 6 months, I've never used them and the glue on velcro used by SMB is almost completely separated from the body of the van. It's a mess and it's removal will soon be listed in "What did you do on your SMB today?" header.
But congratulations, and welcome to the $100+ fill up club.

Thanks Joanna-

Unfortunately, I'm well acquainted with the $100 fill-up club, as I have a GMC diesel now, and live on the Monterey Peninsula where they think it's a game to see how fast they can raise the prices without actually wearing out the little plastic numbers they use on the signs at the filling stations!

Bill,

Don't forget to ask about the flush-mounted stove upgrade if you are keeping the propane system. And also the added insulation on the ref for the excess noise.

Ray

Here is a pic of the stove:

Bill,

If you see a Baja Tan EB on the line and can shoot a couple of picture I would really appreciate it.

Thanks
John
