Yes, I contacted them when I first noticed back in 2010. I was told to add a shim to reduce the vibration. No offer to replace or permanently fix the problem. (I admit though I never did ask them to replace. Kind of old school about that, I expect people to make good on their own without being pressured. For that mater SMB has never volunteered to replace a flaw either.)

I general, I am happy with Aluminess parts and service, however I don't like their latching system for the swing-out arms. I think the design is flawed for off-road travel and have made that clear to them. Just my 2 cents.

One of my latches broke. The spring that keeps the latch open broke, had to manually move the catch back with my finger. Luckily it failed in a closed position. Called Aluminess and asked if I could get a replacement and a spare. They obliged immediately. Keep the spare in my tool box now.

Is this what you had to do? Was a simple replacement, I don't think Aluminess charged me for the replacement, but I can't be sure anymore.

Yes, changed out that cartridge. I bought my bumper last year so I assume I had the new version of the cartridge.
