Awning bracket/door

Did you have to adjust your passenger door hinge in order to close the door after installing the bracket for Fiamma awning?

At Field Van in Reno. Attaches to the rain gutter.

What make of van? Who installed the brackets? Field van attaches to the rain gutter? No bolts into the body?

If you have just over 1/8th inch or more gap between the top of the door and the bottom of the gutter you should not have to adjust your door. If all the body lines line up along the side of the van then any adjusting will create misalignments. If they are already misaligned then adjusting the door can serve two purposes.

You may have to adjust the bracket by redoing a bend or two. This should NOT be done on the van. Remove the bracket and use a vice to make the fine adjustment.

Some pictures might help.

I didn't have it installed after I was told I would have to adjust the door. It's a '97 E250. Wanted to check with all of you and my Ford guy before I gave a thumbs up.

I installed the gutter type bracket. You might have to bend it to get it to fit properly, but you don't have to adjust the door.
