That’s good to know.

Here is what I’m talking about though.
At the 4:13 mark, you can see the guy who is stuck put Matt’s rope over his hitch ball. There is a cut in the video but it appear that the ball is used for the subsequent pulls.

I mean, they’re not full speed or anything, and the ball appears to be good sized and in good condition, but questionable.

I’ll have to check out that Prius video.

I bought the Billet 4x4 1-1/4" years ago and have never used it.

These guys have been around about as long anyone. I don't have a kinetic recovery rope, but when I do get one, it will likely be one of these.

OK, thanks guys, for making me spend $300 on updated recovery straps. My other ones were probably 25 or more years old. Oh, and thanks again for making me buy the H1 scissors jack with the Agile adapter. Now my tall Hi-Lift is obsolete, but still takes up space in the garage. I better find someone to get unstuck soon to validate all this stuff before it becomes too old to trust.

I've found that our fellow members excel at helping us spend any extra funds...

And just when I thought that's what wives and girlfriends are for?

We do live vicariously from time-to-time no?

I will add this whole topic of "towing" vs "recovery" has educated me quite considerably over my time here. While I carry tow straps I fully understand their intended use but am better acquainted with their limitations and will never exceed those.

Thanks for the education!

For us heavier vans I would check out the K72 Rope by guardian of bravery.

1.25''K72 KINETIC RECOVERY ROPE:

We got their ropes and one of the K72 rope. We have been using both and are equally great in quality and construction.

Nice! Yeah made in the USA products is the way to go!
Never heard of BilletUSA until today. But Yankum, Bubba Rope, K72 Rope by Guardian of Bravery all make their Kinetic ropes and soft shackles in the USA.
