Carr Super Hoop mounting problem

I just got my 2005 E-350 RB-30 van 4wd-ed at Quad-van. They installed hoops on front doors but were unable to mount one on barn doors as grey water holding tank interfered with mounting brackets. I haven't pickup van yet so haven't seen it. Has anybody been able to mount hoops there? If it can be done I would buy a hoop at Quad van when I pickup van. Or is there another product that might work that would fit and kind of look right with the front hoops? Thanks Lance

I just installed Carr hoops on my van. I ended up passing on the barn door step as the grey water tank was in the way for me too. Having dropped my grey tank before I know how little room there is to work with in that space. To install the Carr hoop you'll have to remove the tank and install the step, I'm not sure there's enough room to get the tank back in with the step (mounts) there.
I opted to stick with this instead:

This is just my opinion and means little but I really dislike Carr hoop steps for this reason. The way they mount is lousy in the first place and if you don't have good access it gets worse.

All hail the Aluminess steps! I know, the price difference is huge.

Thanks for the opinions. I'm going to at least look it over and see if I can have some brackets made that might make loop work. Quad-van carries and installs loops, so I bit. I've been using short folding step prior to lift. Lance
