might be handy for someone who needs something like this and does not have tools/time/skill.

i have a perfect spot for it in my van where i can use it inside or store it for outside use/camping

probably nothing new to seasoned campers

Those are nice setups. I like the fact that they sell the plans for them as PDF files. Will add to my list of reference material to get. The plans may also work well as ideas for other cabinet designs inside my SMB.

Re: chuck box

I've kinda have gone full circle with a grub box. When I was pickup/tent camping I had similar equipment but since the SMB I have found it's kind of a hassle to haul what I did in the past. Jumping from spot to spot is easier with light gear. Nowdays I take the minimal approch and have a small tool bag that carries the essentials I need for outside cooking. I do understand those who have families and the need more kitchen stuff. I do pack more when pulling my SMB trailer like a larger stove, fry pan, griddle, two burner lantern...etc. I use the big stuff when I'm base camped. I also have some larger stuff in the van itself like extra pots, plasticware, cups and the like. I do wish I had the money back from equipment I purchased and I rarely used which is sitting around the house today
