Coleman Quad Lantern

I was wondering if any of you have seen ,purchased or tried the new Coleman Quad Lantern ?
or their new 4D XPS Duo Lantern . Both seem like they may be quite useful with the exception of the D Batteries needed for the Quad Model , I would think that they would find a ready place in a lot of SportsMobile type applications . www.coleman.com

Re: Coleman Quad Lantern

I haven't used the Quad lantern, but my boy's scout troop has the 8D (fluorescent) model with 8 D batteries and they work very well with good battery life. The Quad with LEDs should be even better on battery consumption.

Re: Coleman Quad Lantern

It really looks to have many applications from camp sight to off road repairs , the Duo is more appealing yet because of the optional Charging Unit .

Re: Coleman Quad Lantern

Looks like at least one of them can be charged at 120V or 12V. Pretty versatile.

Re: Coleman Quad Lantern

Herb ,
I will let all of you know . After reading several reviews I ordered it with Batteries from Amazon , it will be here next Tuesday . The clincher for purchase was that all of the Girls in my life really loved the idea . By the way the best price that I found was from Amazon , $77.73 with an 8 pack of Batteries .

Re: Coleman Quad Lantern

Thanks for the link Greggde...I might switch over. Man, I sure liked the marine BBQ. It looked fairly large and expensive but nice. The portable grill is something to look at. http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colemanc ... 036&brand=

Re: Coleman Quad Lantern

Dave ,
That is one of the numerous BBQ's that we have and not one my wife's favorites , because of the smaller cooking surface . Although she is very pleased with it's function when it is just the two of us
When our 12 Grandsons and only Granddaughter are along with our 3 children and their spouse's she finds the size of the grill a bit small and overall dimension's a little bulky. BTU's are consistent and and adjustment is very controllable and I like the ease of cleaning , see I do contribute to our family madness .

Re: Coleman Quad Lantern

Greggde, can you give me the outer and grill size dimensions? I currently am using a gas Weber that’s on its last leg. I don’t want or need a large grill but it has to fit where the Weber is now stored. For some reason I could not find the size of it on the web site. Thanks…Dave

Oh and if you have any other suggestions on a small grill any info will help. Sorry for going off topic. I do plan to look into a small LED light as well.

Dave ,
I will get the measurement for the Grill early this coming week when I am down at our warehouse and don't order the light until I receive and try mine out , I am always suspect of the review's posted via the internet and it may not be all that it is supposed to be .I will be in touch soon Dave .
