I did purchase the coated ones. I use the sham-wow type towels between them when stowing away, so the interior has held up well. It would be a toss up if I were to purchase again, I would probably just stay with the stainless steel. It really depends on how you feel about the coating. The other cooking gear I carry is a dutch oven.
