These look really neat!
The food grade silicone checks out as far as not contaminating food with lovely plastic chemicals or BPA.
Like the idea of dishes that can be used for both the SMB and backpacking.

Well for backpacking they could really be scrunched into any available corner.

I have one of the "smiley face" yellow splashguard inserts and it works fine in my Nalgene bottle. Do have to watch it for mold and wash it once and awhile with soap and water to prevent mold build-up.

I personally save my low miles per gallon van for road trips and drive a Prius for general driving. That brings my overall "fleet" mpg up to about 22 mpg.

Bill: Fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions are two totally different things.
