Depends on the motor. The triton motors draw form just above/in-front of the radiator.

Where is everyone mounting their air compressors for lockers or on-board air? and if it's a low spot, are you running an extension for the air intake? what opinions on best location to mount so its pulling air from same level as engine's air filter?

I agree I won't be taking my smb super deep, but I would want to be able to cross an inch or two above the bottom of the doors...

Mine is sitting fairly low. I asked SMB about it and they claimed it would be OK as long as you didn't run it while fording. The filter is similar to an K&N filter and saturated in oil, so far no problems.
