If a person aquires an InReach device my 2 cents is practice w/ it -

I was out of the US & we practiced sending InR to InR & it took hours to figure it out.

About a week later I had a very real accident, rode out of the bc in Japan on a broken fibula to a road & my sim card & data connectivity were a factor in a survival senario.

I didn’t bother w/the InReach in the moment - due to several factors.

I mainly use mine to track to my webpage & the supposed ease of use to start a SOS senario which I have never had to initiate.

I’m working on another mission away from N America & plan on practicing
