2:25 is the part about smooth ride over rocks and such. Not so much with a short sidewall tire

So, what PSI do most of us run at on the highway? I usually keep my 285R70-17's at 45-ish psi. The ride is way more comfortable, and I seem to be getting fairly even tire wear. I usually air up to about 60-70psi when I tow (7k lbs Airstream).

Sounds like you already have the answer(s) to your own question...
I’ve dropped mine from 65 on each corner to 50. Rides better so I haven’t messed with it since.
