Favorite leveling blocks?

There must be a thousand different leveling block options out there. What are your favorites? I do a fair amount of boondocks camping and like all van campers, space is a premium. I'm thinking a set of 2x6 blocks might be best even though they're heavy. What are others using?

I carry a couple big wood blocks who's main purpose is to assist with the jack if I have to lower the fuel tank to change the fuel pump (again) Since they are really buried in the rear box, I don't normally take them out, instead I use what ever rocks are handy, but occasionally i do use them if it's less work than hunting down appropriate rocks.

We also have been granted permission to utilize Eric's well distributed rock collection, in the absence of these we carry 6 RV Stabilizer Pads (basically indestructible). They are larger (12x14x2) than the normal RV leveling blocks so work better with larger tires, and easily handle the weight of heavier builds. At 11,500lbs, I had been crushing some of the plastic Camco style leveling options (which are much smaller at 8.5x8.5).

I've been out checking my rocks this past week. I have a sh*t ton of em in Colorado. Took some pics of some, noticed lots of people using them without permission but it's all good. I have plenty. You guys enjoy. The collection is too vast for me to keep up with.

I started out with Douglas fir 2x6s and cracked them all in short order. I now use horse stall matting. This stuff comes in 4'x6' matts and is 3/4" thick. Cut them up in whatever size works for you (I think mine are around 8"x18"?) and stack them up to whatever hight is needed. I think I carry about 10 total and they are almost indestructible. And since we're already on topic... I downloaded "Bubble Level for iPhone" and just choose "Surface Level" then put the phone on the floor board next to me to instantly see which corners need the blocks.

We use:Tri-Lynx 00015 Lynx Levelers ...they are like legos and we can fit five in-between our goucho bed wall/frame and the water tank, house batteries...have only used a few times because we (also) have Firestone "airbags" that do a good deal of leveling if needed...back to levelers, maybe $30 for an 8 pack? Hard plastic like a milk crate...love em'

We tried to use the rock method on a recent trip to Maine and could only find one that worked (needed two). Three of us spent 15 minutes looking for a second that would work, to no avail. The dumb thing is that I had Lynx Levelers in the van but I was too lazy to dig them out. [emoji41]
