Rod Carriers
I just returned from a seven day loop thru Eastern Sierra that was for holiday and the testing of some new Scientific Angler Fly Lines , I carried four Fly Rods pre loaded and two Spin rods for my Bride . These rods were 7' to 10' in length and were handled very nicely in a the EB-50 with the rod Loft carriers which came from Cabelas . I have over the years fabricated and tried virtually every make of Rod Carrier as I have been involved in an advisory capacity for a number of manufactures and really like the flexibility of these Rod Loft carriers once adjusted everything stayed put and we traveled into several rough areas where four wheel drive became mandatory The nice thing is that the system comes with numerous mounting configurations and the brackets to adapt to numerous mountings . I will take photo's and post in my gallery as some of the rods are still loaded inside .

Re: Fishing Pole Carrier or Holder
So maybe there is a NEW solution to my issue here......nope, not the pocket fisherman, but what about the RocketShot ??? I just saw the info-mercial this morning!
With that I might not need any special rod holder....

Re: Fishing Pole Carrier or Holder
OK.... so back to my original idea....
I think I need some help identifying a part and a place to procure it.
There are a number of work trucks that I see with round/tube carriers where the end of the tubes have what looks like a metal cover. The cover looks to be a sleeve that fits over the end of the tube and a hinged and lockable flap to cover and seal the end of the tube.
I seem to never see these on trucks that are sitting where I can get a close look, but only on those speeding down the road.
Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? what they are? where to get them?

Re: Fishing Pole Carrier or Holder
Greggde,
Thanks.
Close, but no cigar....
I see my description was poor. I am really looking for the lids that go on a large PVC tube that is mounte on a roof rack.
The condiut carrier would probably work, but would carry a larger footprint than I want.
I will keep looking at those two sites, because the look like a place that might have them.
Thanks.
