For those that love to smoke...trout.

Ive been on the hunt for a compact portable smoker for a few years. I found this brand, Green Trail, and so far so good! I made a couple of small mods: the vent, and the thermostat - those don't come with the set up. At the very least drill a hole for a meat thermostat. THe stove is also ordered separately and i found this to be the best option with a solid simmer feature - fits really well under the smoke box as well.

Lightweight, easy to set up, two internal grill layers, can keep the temps around 150-200f easily, and great for smoking all kind of good foods. From pizza's to fish. Works very well for the size and portability.

Works on either coleman canisters, or small butane canisters. Fun camp past time. Great for preserving harvested meats like while on the road. Trout, mussels, boar, mushrooms, you name it this little smoker can handle it. Pretty cool little unit. Looking forward to using it in Baja once things normalize. Getting large catches back to the states preserved and smoked well sounds about like a dream right now.
