Front Seat Laptop Mounting?

I foresee a need to mount a laptop between the front seats of my E350 EB cargo-mostly van. The laptop will be used sparingly as there's no real need or desire to have it deployed like police vehicles. Ideally the laptop and its mounting gear would be mounted between the front seats and used primarily from the drivers seat although having it swivel for the passenger would be a nice option.

Having already searched the Ram Mounts variations and several other manufacturers who make big rig adapters for the Ram Mounts Drill & No-Drill bases there's no shortage of possibilities for easily installed and removable swing-arm mounts which is okay; good to know there's choices for off-the-shelf mounting.

Because I'll have a bulkhead of sorts dividing the front cabin from the rear area I've considered something like a hide-a-way ironing board, pivoting downward so it could rest on the factory center console.

Anyone done something like this, have any images of how it looks installed and in use? Just looking for ideas at this point---its tough for me to envision something without seeing actual images.

TIA

That's one very impressive mounting arm--WOW is all I can say!

Naturally its a bit more than needed but worthy of looking in that direction for something---thanks GaHamby!

So far I've looked to Ram Mounts and found this: https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-VB-119-SW1. I like its a no drill installation.

There is another outfit making another type of bottom base that could be useful as well: http://www.dieselboss.com/laptop-sta...semi-truck.htm This base offers a bit more flexibility in where the vertical pole would be located. I'd want the laptop to be stowed where it wouldn't interfere with normal driving duties.

For the most part the laptop would be pretty much left in the van always, removed only when it was absolutely necessary. Both mounts shown above would allow easy removal for routine engine maintenance.

I wouldn't mind a mount for a 13" Mac Air in a '07 GMC Savana 2500 my self.
I think that mount has solved your problem.
Good luck GH

On that note here's the link to Ram Mount's page for their range of no-drill laptop mounts: https://www.rammount.com/search?sear...+drill+laptop+. Here's another for your Savana: [URL="https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-VB-143-SW1"]https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-VB-143-SW1[/URL

Through that first link roam around to see what else they might have available for your Savana.

As you might suspect actual cost to buy would be much less than their prices through Amazon and even eBay.

Having the mount from Wanderer will be a great start that's for sure.

Thanks,
I have looked at those. They seem like a quality product. I like the Made in USA factor.
The downside is they look to be speced for the single handed tradesman.
Her Nibs occupies the right hand seat and would object to the stanchion.
I need to come up with something that rigs off the dash.
