Re: Got a Smoothtalker Cellphone Booster coming

Okay, after two weeks in the field, I state that the sucker works, sometimes dramatically.

Usually, it'll boost my iphone by a bar or two. Sometimes, it takes a fake signal and makes it real. Often, it has enabled me to talk or get data when I could not without it.

It also works really well with my Verizon broadband dongle. In a campground tonight in CA, I had zero bars out of four. bummer. Plugged it in and suddenly I had three, occasionally four bars. This cost me an extra cable when I initially ordered it, but I'm glad I did. I'm posting over it now.

The thing truly seems to work.

Re: Got a Smoothtalker Cellphone Booster coming

they were really helpful when I bought it. should really be platform-independent.

I bought a package that includes an amplifier - plus the DC and AC cables, an antenna with a magnetic mount (I still have not hard wired any of this in yet, by the way) and then I got a cradle for my phone PLUS a small cable for the dongle. IF they make a cable for the aircard, it should work.

Does the aircard have a small antenna jack on it, or some tiny rubber cover that you have never bothered to pry off?

I'd give them a call. They were pretty helpful with me.

I have gotten better success with this setup than the Wilson rig I used to have.

Yes, I use an antenna in my work truck and it makes a big difference but thought it is only an antenna and not a booster. I'd like to have something for the van.
