IS THERE A GOOD 19 IN. 12V, LED TV?

I want to buy a 19 in LED TV for my SMB that uses the least power. A Samsung 19 in 720p/60Hz/LED-LCD HDTV model # UN19C4900 uses 23 watts.

I thought a 12V one would use less watts, but, can not find a LED one. I can not find out how many watts a 12 V LCD one uses. What do you think I should buy? I have a portable DVD player so I do not know if a TV/DVD player is a better way to go.

I would just buy a large screen laptop.

We're interested in this too. Almost bought a 22" LCD yesterday but felt our iPad does the trick for us when were not using our flip down 15" installed in the ph. A 12v woulnd be nice though.

Don't know anything about the quality though Angel.

Re: IS THERE A GOOD 19 IN. 12V, LED TV?

After more research and reading this
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f450/12 ... 63034.html I think I will buy a LED TV. They use less watts.

I found out that a 12V LCD TV uses 60 watts.

If a 110 LED TV has an in line transformer (120v plug and 12v coming out of the transformer to the TV) I may be able to buy a connector plug and a cigarette lighter plug and plug directly to 12v.

There has been a discussion about this issue going on at the RV.net group you might find interesting:

I pulled two LCD 22 inches out of the sportsmobile and replaced them with a 22 and 24inch LED 1080P Monitors that were on sale from Fry's. They both run off 12volts and really use alot less energy then the LCD's did. Really happy with it. Didn't want to get something really expensive in case the van got raided but I'm pleased with the HD 1080P quality from Viore.

Will a 22 inch work for you?

I own a SMB to get away from that corruption.

Re: IS THERE A GOOD 19 IN. 12V, LED TV?

Jeffrey, I cannot agree with you more. I will not be taking it with me much, just on long road trips with the kids or with the old folks where most of the time we are traveling to get somewhere. 12V TVs always have a 110 adapter, which is what I thought I wanted. I will use it in my house as I have verrrrrry old TVs in the house. One 13 in TV was made before clickers and clicks when I change the channel but the converter box changed that. My other old TV fell and broke.

WVvan, Thanks for the link. I now know enough, so, I will buy a LED-LCD 19 in TV with a 110 cord that can be unplugged from the TV. TV. Target has Vizio M190MV on sale today for $200. Costco's 19 in Vizio M190VA has a hard wired 110 cord-so I do not want that. Best Buy also has some.

NRL, Looks like a great TV but I want to stick to a 19 in

Did you know there is a TV tax now like a CRV charge on soda? You get it back if you take the TV back to the store when it is old and no longer works. $16 for a 19 in and $34 for one of the larger TVs-I did not get all the $ amounts. Target told me when we were talking price. He gave me a rain check so I could have longer to decide since the sale ends today.
