Front bumper for my rig should be here in the next few weeks. I’m looking to mount my rigid light bar on the brush guard tubing. Reached out to Aluminess on actual tubing size and they are 1.5” ID and just shy of 2” OD.
Not sure if I should go with 1.5” 1.75” or 2”. Are there adjustable mounts say 1.5-2”?
What’s everyone using?
I made the same addition to my van a couple of years ago. I went with the 2 inch clamps. I had to use shim material to get a tight fit. I used some aluminum roof flashing material I had around which I'd gotten a number of years ago for another project. I don't believe that 1-3/4" clamps would work.
I purchased 2" clamps for a different reason than a light bar, cut some strips out of thin rubber matting (something that would not absorb moisture, and would help guard against marring the powdercoat if I removed them) - wound the strips around the tubing (think it ended out being wrapped twice) then tightened the clamps. No issues.

That’s the route I was thinking. Any specific brand you guys using? Rigid pricing is a bit crazy for a simple clamp.
