Mounting a yakima rocketbox on manual penthouse

I have a manual penthouse, preparing for total self-sustained camping with all the COVID closures. Need some extra space, so I want to put my yakima rocketbox on top. I have rails etc already installed. Question - should I be concerned about centering the rocketbox? front to back, side to side...estimated weight <100lbs.

I would center it and have it open to the middle. If it's on tracks it will be easy to adjust fore and aft for lifting the penthouse. Unless you are a giraffe it's impossible to get stuff out of a box while standing on rails or nerf bars. So, your going to have to go up the ladder!

Definitely close to center. It affects how the top lowers if it’s too far off.

That's true. I guess when I ran a box I had to largely empty it if there was stuff in there just to raise the roof. So I mainly used it for chairs, etc. Things I'd need for camp.

Thanks all - that's what I thought, not much room up top to stand around it and empty if it is in the center so I might abandon that addition.
