Yep, got it last week. There is very little margin for error. So I need to see if a Scepter will fit. If anyone has one in LA area I would like to drive by and try it out, please.

Re: NATO surplus fuel cans

If you cant find anybody I can measure mine. Don't know if the diesel cans are different than the gas cans. The water cans are slightly different

Re: NATO surplus fuel cans

Did anyone ever find the source for Scepter MCF cans? I recently bought their water cans and am looking for 3 of their gas cans. There water cans are awesome!! They won't sell the fuel cans.... ebay has ridiculous prices. Anyone know of a source yet for these?

Roonie,
Same here......I got my fill on the water cans but I haven't found the military fuel cans yet(or at least @ a reasonable price). I'm almost opting for the NATO style metal cans at this point.
Woot.....

Re: NATO surplus fuel cans

I found their used green fuel cans in Fort Collins a couple of years ago, but they were kinda rough looking. Nothing like having new cans. Seems like most folks are going with the Nato metal style.

Re: NATO surplus fuel cans

Amazon is carrying the new "Moeller Scepter" water and gas cans, but no diesel, for $30. I bought one of the gas cans and the labeling matches whats left of the label on my diesel can. Looks like Moeller's a subsidiary of Scepter, so I guess they count as official, if that matters.

Both of these Sceptars (a W520 and a D520s) fit in my Baja box; I can get two in the box and one in the outside slot. I found this site http://www.bargainboatparts.com/sear...chTerm=scepter, but make sure you check the model numbers.

Re: NATO surplus fuel cans

Yeah, too bad they have the CARB crap spouts on them. My CARB compliant gas can for my mower & string trimmer, spills more gas than would ever evaporate on the older style cans.
