Re: Outside shower upgrade

It turned out to be a defective mixer dial. no more leaks. Have you come up with a solution for extending the hose length?

Re: Outside shower upgrade

I was told to get a quick release hose from OSH or Lowes and cut it in. It's something I need to look into.

Re: Outside shower upgrade

It's easier than that. The shower head has a standard 1/2" pipe thread. Get a 1/2" PVC nipple and a regular 1/2" shower hose with female ends. Remove the shower head. Screw the nipple onto the new shower hose and then screw the nipple onto the hose from the mixer. Then screw the shower head onto the other end of the new one end of the shower hose.

Outside shower upgrade

Genius. Thx. Btw smb sent me another mixer dial with hose and though it doesn't leak at the dial anymore it leaks from the head. Hairline crack at the shower heads base.

Has anyone done the fast disconnect conversion on an RB50 with the shower mounted inside the rear door? Any tips would be appreciated.
