Pull Pal Mounting

I've found a few things on here about mounting but would like to hear more/ see one mounted.
Would the upper bar of the Aluminess bumper be a bad place to mount it only when going to certain areas? How about on the side ladder? Wind Noise? ??

Re: Pull Pal Mounting

I thought we looked at mine at the meet? No? Aluminess built the mount but I plan to change it. Basically they welded mounts to the top bar of the spare swingout gate. They wanted to mount the spade to the outside of the spare.

Both ideas are only OK.
As far as the spade goes, I'd like either a metal scabbard or tray to slide it into and plan to have my rear boxes split with a tray where it will sit between the boxes.

A guy who owns a shop in my town is going to be able to keep the bar-piece mounted where Aluminess put it, only I want to use pins to lock it rather than the ny-lock nuts and bolts. I don't mind the rear tire mount for the spade, but would rather have it out the way of the spare.

I'll be watching this post.

Good luck Dowgars

Re: Pull Pal Mounting

Thanks Dave: It wasn't me that looked at it. I'm still thinking about it. I have a Voyager top with a roof rack and I'm wondering about putting it up there and near the ladder. I'm waiting on my KVH Tracvision antenae problem to be resolved because it is suppose to go back up there first. Then I'll see what room I have.

Re: Pull Pal Mounting

I found that in the rear of my EB 51 there is an area along the sides that hold on one side a set of Maxtrax standing up, the opposite I have a PullPal in their case.
