Rain canopy or cover for rear doors? High roof Ford Transit
Hello all! we have a 2019 Sportsmobile conversion built on a high roof Ford Transit van (10 ft tall). We usually sleep with the rear barn doors open for great ventilation. But, if it starts raining we have to get up and and close them or rain will come in... and then there's much less ventilation. Has anyone rigged up (or purchased) a cover to keep the rain out of the camper, and off the insides of the doors themselves? (They have some fabric trim, insulation, wiring etc., so shouldn't get wet.) I've seen a few ideas online but none made specifically for the high top Ford. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I’m making one of these for my E350, pretty easy to sew up, there aren’t any corners, really:

But I love the simplicity of this guy’s creation:

An ideal design would have the spreader bar capturing the doors in a way they couldn't open or close once set to the desired width.
Either way looks good.

I’ve seen these specifically for vans that are likely a little wider than this one, just don’t recall the brand.

A few members have these as well that could easily serve double purpose.

Not sure if BumperChute makes anything usable but they too might be worth looking into.

One of the things I love about this forum is how we just keep shooting great ideas out there whether or not the OP ever responds. Good for us. I learn something every day.

Here is what I have been using b/c it is super cheap (compared to anything else we found) very functional, and takes up very little room...its stretchy like spandex!! I have been meaning to post but wa-la a perfect opportunity!
This was $125 from REI, its original use is a tent cover
they have a smaller one for around $90
