Hm, I like the idea of the mobile/portable antenna.
And @joelm, if you're streaming video calls you'll blow that 50 gig quickly. There are RV internet providers that are basically secondary dealers that provide true unlimited data. Little more costly however.

Agreed. That's why I plan to find WiFi wherever possible. I've seen a few of the RV providers and agree, they are pricey. I keep looking for that Unicorn of reasonably priced unlimited data.
T-Mobile is now offering unlimited data for Home internet. It should work anywhere they have service, but their ToS says it is locked to your home address (which they can easily verify.)

The Mobile Internet Resource Center is a frequently updated source for rapidly changing off grid internet service. They continually provide updates and recommendations for new technology and data plans. If you don’t know about it, I would certainly recommend the site. We use a WeBoost antenna for our internet signal enhancement and a Verizon MiFi for streaming or downloading data. As mentioned, many mobile users are now using MIMO antennas for even greater up and down speeds.
