Retractable House Awning on Van?

Has anyone ever used a retractable awning meant for a house and mounted it onto a van? I'm sure mounting would be something that needed to be worked out. Are there many significant differences otherwise between the house and RV awnings? I don't see many dedicated RV awnings for sale here (Canada) and the ones that are for sale are pretty expensive. House awnings are significantly cheaper, especially on the used market.

I will admit I don't know anything about awnings and it seems like many people here have them. I work out of my van and need to set up an awning in about 1-2 minutes. I am only at my clients house for about an hour so quick set up is very important for me.
