I know aluminess used to make these but haven't heard much about them since SMB started putting in power tops.

I think the RV air lifters are completely different from the Aluminess.

I had rear airbags w/license plate valve on a prior SMB and loved it for towing.

I have an electric penthouse top, so i'm not in the market - but thats a cool concept. I'm assuming you have a manual top and your interest lies in a simple solution to assist in raising your top? If you decide to implement these it would be interesting to follow the application & your thoughts afterwards. Keep us posted.

Edit: Wasnt able to uncover weight limitations on these - have you already inquired?

pretty cool. would be a nice backup plan for a failed electric top, but theres no listing or weight ratings anywhere.

I do remember seeing these a while back. Did you inquire about pricing? Wonder if retrofitting your manual top with actuators is more cost effective.

Hi! Aluminess still makes an air actuated lift for pushing up pop tops. Lifts top with ease with just a small air compressor. Large version lifts up to 450 Pounds.

Here is the link (just scroll down the page)
