Re: Scan Gauge II
I'm not thrilled with mine. The water temp reads -40F all the time--normal for a 7.3 PSD according to ScanGauge. And the boost reading is nonsense. Still it's good for pulling fault codes and the tach and voltmeter seem to work OK. Plus I can't get enough of the throttle position reading. Yowsa.
Luckily it was cheap.

Re: Scan Gauge II
Hi Neeemo,
Ouch hope I haven't done a bad choice here... It has been dispatched today (tonight for us )... I really liked the features they propose and the fact that I will be able to integrate it in the dash like a standard computer

Re: Scan Gauge II
We love our Scan Guage II. We monitor tranny temp, water temp and fuel economy.

Re: Scan Gauge II
Ours works great with the V10 gas also. It seems to be pretty accurate for all functions. I read that a few of the diesels had some issues, but don't know which ones.

I thought the ScanGauge II had the upgrades, and you just need to program it.
Or, did you mean that you need to upgrade to the SG II?
My tranny temps were very low (~160) until I was crawling up a several mile hill in lo-range. The slippage from the unlocked torque convertor quickly shot the temps up over 225. Then, the screaming fan brought them down a little.

Re: Scan Gauge II
I checked my SGII, and apparently it was a older version without the tranny temp option. However, i can send it in to SG and they'll upgrade it.

Oh, you are right. Dang, a memory is a terrible thing to lose. I had to send in my SG II and $25 for the upgrade. I forgot the original ScanGauge was a big box and the SG II is small and XGauge was the upgrade.
