Don't tell the wife. Just install the ScanGauge and pretend it has always been there.

Seriously, my wife is in Panama on a trip and no phone service. Couldn't tell her if I wanted to.

ha, ha. good strategy.

Windguy,
I think you owe each of us $70

On a quick search it seemed that people are happy with the ultraguage, but the scanguage has been out alot longer and many swear by it.

I'm still happy buying another Scangauge. It does what I want and I already know how to program it!

ah shucks, now you're making feel really bad
looks like I'm buying the beers now. Still friends?

how come no one has every mentioned ultragauge before? Is it a new product?
I guess any company can come along and build a better mouse trap.
Why such a huge price difference though. That's strange. Something's not right.

That's enough for me to justify my purchase.

I already keep my phone on the window as my GPS, so should be just a tap on the screen to bring up all of the OBD II data.

BT dongles are about $50. I keep meaning to pick one up but always find something else to spend my money on first

Cheers,

Re: ScanGauge II On Sale for $129.99 SHIPPED

Not having a SmartPhone means I can't use this technology anyway.

And it makes using my ScanGauge seems extremely simple.

Re: ScanGauge II On Sale for $129.99 SHIPPED

If who ever buys and installs a new Scangauge II and it is on a 2009 or later SMB with a V10 engine please let me know if the X-Gauge functions work. None of my X-Gauge functions work and the ScanGauge people(the tech, Jim) doesn't seem to be able to make it work. I have been through a couple of they from ScanGauge! That means not Transmission Temp, Cylinder Head Temp or any of the programable functions. The only thing that works the the functions that come with the unit!

Re: ScanGauge II On Sale for $129.99 SHIPPED

Just a heads up that I will post as a new topic in the forum.

Just got my Ultra-Gauge in the mail.

First this unit does not support the majority of the OBD2 codes for Ford Diesel 7.3L or 6.0L vans. It will not read the fuel level and it will only read the Engine Oil Temp and the Manifold Temp. Coolant temp does not work and there are a ton of gauges listed on the gauge page that will not work either.

Just thought I would mention it I will make a list of what it does support and post but FYI. I was not broken hearted since the unit was only 59 bucks but if I guess some might be put off.
