Scangauge II transmission temperature

So I bought a scangauge II in the hopes of monitoring my transmission temperature.

I have a 2000 EB-50, V10. Have any of you programmed the X-gauge function to read tranny temp?

I looked at the scangauge manual, and it seems there are a number of inputs at several stages of the setup. However, I have no idea what to input. The scangauge manual seems a bit cryptic on this issue.

I did speak to the lead tech at the dealership before I bought the gauge and he said that the tranny temp is an output available via the OBDII port, so I just need to figure out how to configure the input.

I have the Haynes manual for this van, but it does not detail trouble codes. Does anyone have a decent source for those?

Scangauge II transmission temperature

Mine works fine, but it took a call to Scanguage. They are very helpful and will pick right up.

Re: Scangauge II transmission temperature

Generally there's much more information on the scan gauge web site than in the manual. And yes, I'm reading transmission temperature on a 4r100 (with the v10) via the x-gauge. Since the process seemed error prone, I punched it in twice, and made sure the two gauges agreed before deleting the redundant one.

Re: Scangauge II transmission temperature

Just to add another "yep." I have the 5.4 V-8 and had programmed my Scangauge to read TFT. I then programmed a friend's for his V-10, and noticed they share the same codes (meaning, the series of numbers, etc. you enter).

I got them from the website (plus a few others, but TFT is the one I really wanted).
