Scanguage II disintegrates

OK, that's an exaggeration, but my 4 year old SC just fell apart. Too long on the dash in the sun I guess. May just get another one, but would consider options if anyone has had good luck with another device.

Maybe they will replace it for free? They are a good deal for the money but I sure would like one of those edge insight cts monitors

Re: Scanguage II disintegrates

I'm lusting for a GoPoint. It'll work with a smartphone, iPad, etc. Unfortunately I don't think it, or any of the smartphone apps, can do all that a ScanGauge can do. My vehicle is PWM (pre 2008) and many of the newer apps/dongles use CAN. But if I did have a more recent ride I'd look into the mobile stuff. The error code tables are stored within the app, so you have immediate info on problems, and they do logging, which can be helpful in measuring performance or tracking down problems.

The Edge can also handle EGTs which the Scangauge can't do.

Re: Scanguage II disintegrates

Just installed my new SC2 yesterday. Several new features since my last one. Nice to be able to add the AVG miles per gallon to the main gauge screen. It also has the ability to do 0-60 or quarter mile times. Not that these are anything to brag about.

Re: Scanguage II disintegrates

I thought an SMB's 0-60 was a quarter-hour, not a quarter-mile. :-)
