Sorry, I don’t know what the back of the wall mount looks like, so can’t say. I don’t know though... with all we spend on these rigs, I’ve come to appreciate “easy” over cheaper.

MS: I just wanted to ne clear about the placement of the Thule when you have the ladder right there... it is literally impossible to use the hand winder. When I tried, it got stuck and could not be removed... which necessitated a grinding wheel episode, a destroyed winder, and an entire afternoon wasted.

IMO,
Fiamma vs Thule hideaway:
I have a 2003 E350 SMB with the factory installed Fiamma.
I'm on #3 due to Texas thunderstorm and AZ windstorm. I was negligent in that I did not secure the support feet to the ground.
That being side I did like the Thule install using the rack which increased the clearance from vehicle to the ground.
I replaced each awning with the same Fiamma as the brackets were still in place and l like the ease of deployment.
My one issue with the SMB install is that the front end of the awning needs to be lifted to the full length to allow the opening of the front passenger door.
I have had no need for any parts and other than the front door issue I am very happy with the Fiamma awning.
