Van Cover

I ordered mine through SMB, Alan was able to get it to me within a couple of days. Works and fits perfect. I have the EB350 with after market bumpers. The only thing thats not covered is the spare tire. Sure keeps mother nature of it to plus the neighborhood kittys as well, but so does my bb gun.

Cover Photos

I bought (and am currently using) the following cover:

FRONT

REAR

Search "Formosa Covers Conversion Van" in Amazon.com. I paid $79, which seemed like a relative bargain. I have an RB-50 with Aluminess rear bumper only. It would have easily fit with a front bumper, and possibly would have even fit an EB without Aluminess bumpers. They have an EB version too, so no worries. It cinches around the van, easily covers the tires if you have a PH at least, zipper door access (although only for driver and passenger doors), etc. Will post pics in a year to show how well it's lasted!

Their description is:

* Conversion Van Cover fit Standard Wheelbase, High Top Van.
* Dimension: 226 L x 86 W X 86 H
* This cover offers outstanding protection against the elements.
* The cover also breathes to prevent condensation and mildew
* Zippered access to front and rear doors.

Great to know these huge covers exist!

Hmmm, but I wonder if anyone provides a cover with a clear plastic window top-center so the solar cells can keep the house battery topped-up when the van's parked long-term? Now that would be nifty.

Well, you could certainly simply cut a hole in the center! Water getting through isn't going to hurt the van, that's for sure! Or you could sew in your own plastic, but I'd be very wary of that; it would cut out a large percentage of the light, believe it or not if it's not the right chemistry of plastic. Me, I'd install it, then climb on top and cut out just enough to get it around the panel. With slits, then removing and installing elastic to cinch around the panel, it'd probably work fine.

Re: van cover

HHhhmmm... looks like a possibility... Now I need to get the tape measure out...

Wondering if it will fit McBeast??

The largest listed on Amazon is for "Long wheelbase" and "high top" class B RVs.... with the dimensions fo the cover being 246L x 86H x 86w.

McBeast is 10 ft to the top of the cellular antenna.

I will be on the driveway with the tape measure later......

Re: van cover

greg in austin, i will get some pics up in a week or so. i found a spot in my shop all winter for some repairs, after i repaired the rust and paint on the roof and installed the new tape from smb, i took the front end apart and put new suspension parts on, and repowder coated a lot of the front end. the salt from scammons and mexico beaches took its toll and i couldn't leave it alone. i just lack a new exhaust and want to install a perfomance chip.

Re: van cover

also the cover i got from adco is plenty big enough. it drops all the way down to the ground on all four sides. and it has straps to snug it up. i bought tire covers also but with the penthouse down, i really don't need them. and overall its pretty easy to put it on the van by myself.
