I use some cheapo sunshades, they're sort of rounded, silver on one side and black on the other. I bought them for the F250 in arizona but they've been useful in the van.
They cover about 80% of the windshield, fold up in a second and are useful for other things- namely I've used them to black out the rear windows and to keep my legs cool when driving in the sun.

Sunshades
They also make a plausible reflector for indirect fill light and back lighting for Macro Photography .

Second the cheapo sunshade, stores easily in the passenger seat pocket and comes in a large size for vans and trucks.

Thanks for the replies and advice all. Panion, thanks for the pictures also! The Eclipse look great since they take up no storage space and are so easy to use. If you had to do it again, would you buy them again?

Yes I would. I think I use them much more because they are right there. I don't like the ones that fold up, seems like I'm always fighting them.

Thanks again everyone for the advice. I went with the Eclipse Sunshade that Panion posted pictures of. It is a little more expensive then some of the other "custom" shades. However, it is incredibly easy use, and takes up zero storage space. Due to this, I will use it a lot more often.

Received our Heatshield for the windshield, as well as for the front door windows. A nicely made product and has definitely helped control the interior heat buildup over our previous generic sized, pop-open windshield screen.
The rolled up size is a bit harder to store, but we could always leave it unrolled and store it on the penthouse mattress if unneeded for an extended period of time.
Thanks for the recommendation Greg.

Glad it is going to work. We did not get the side cab window shades and did not know that was an option. We use those provided by SMB.
We ordered one as a present for our daughter (and her new car) when we ordered the one for the SMB. ALong with this was supposed to come a templating kit so we could make some for the PH windows....but they sent a product list instead..... ooops.
So I will have to call them this week and see what our options are.

We bought the fold up model from AJ USA. The only real complaints are that it's a little hard to get in place. You kind of need to sit in both of the front seats. Also there is a fairly large hole (8" x 10") around the mirror.
