Can I delete photos from my own gallery?

Go to your gallery, click on the thumbnail, then the X button in the lower right corner of the new window.

I tried that. And get:
"You are not authorised to access this area."

My Gallery > Moderator Control Panel > select box next to images you want to delete > select desired action as delete at way bottom > click submit

I tried it and get the same message saying I can't access that area. Something change? I've got a couple duplicates I'd like to delete.

As far as I know, no user is allowed to delete photos. Years ago someone got upset and deleted photos and suddenly many posts made no sense without the pictures attached. Many other forums insist you have the photos offsite (to save server space) while this site lets us post here. Too many times on the other sites I see a blank photo saying the photo is no longer available. Kinda messes up the discussion about the problem seen in the photo.
