Can't post photos on site or into thread. Apple computer

I've read numerous accounts about how to attach photos. Seems there's different methods offering dissimilar options. None of them work for me. Some of the stated 'buttons' to push for part of the process don't exist on my screen and when I am somehow able to arrive at my photo icon, it won't open to allow selection. Of the several methods that have been offered, zero results. Anyone else care to chime in? Thanks.

Do you have the ability to host photos online somewhere? Various ways to do this, all at added expense. Then it is a simple process by clicking on the photo icon and inserting a link to the photo.

Otherwise I think most use the Go Advanced tab below the quick reply box, then manage attachments, etc.

Finally found the go advanced tab and I was able to open my photos. Thanks for all the help.
