How to adjust the tension on a Fiamma awning

I have a model F45i that the (right side) doesn't fully retract/latch into place. Would very much like to hear from anybody that had to deal with this problem.

I've attempted to locate Fiamma support but have been unable to find any.

Additional Information that's located on the arm: E05584....F45i....F700045...A00

Thank you!

Familiarize yourself with the search feature here on the forum... very handy.

Before adjusting the tensioner on the end of the roller, on a level area, fully extend the awning and inspect the awning surface for any buildup of dirt/sap/pine needles, etc. especially on the side that is pulling in more, in your case, the rear. If clean, or after cleaning, extend and retract the awning a couple times to see if it resets.

Next, try the fix in the video bigriver linked . That might fix it.

Here is a link to another thread on the subject:
https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...way-11559.html

If the end of the roller tensioning in the videos does not work and the awning panel is still not retracting fully on one side, one fix is to add an approx. 3" wide by 6" long strip of thick clear gear tape to the upper surface to create more purchase on that end as the awning collects on the roller.

Place the strip - 3" goes in the extend/retract orientation/6" goes along the roller orientation - on the open awning at the edge close to where the awning goes onto the roller. Retract the awning to see how the panel closes. You may find that a couple of strips layered atop each other is required to achieve an even roll up into the case so the extending case panel rests in a snuggly closed position.

Update to my awning situation. I finally found what was causing the awning from fully retracting back into place. After inspecting everything again found that a small twig had lodged itself in between the roller/fabric on the right side. I just wanted to provide my finding and to Thank (1der) for his post.
