It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image

When I attempt to embed images to my posts from an external source (like smugmug), I now receive the following error message:


It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image, this is likely due to the Image URL being incorrect and would otherwise result in a broken image. Please recheck all IMG tags.


This image check configuration issue blocks my attempts to embed images into new forum posts. It does not impact the same img code I used to embed images in my older posts (> six+ months ago).

Here is an example of an image I am trying to embed (minus the opening and closing img tags, so that I may submit this post):

Note: The image referenced above has a max dimension of up to 600px by 400px (well within the posting guidelines here).


Searching the phpBB board for - It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image - yielded a number of results (not sure if any of them are really useful).

It looks like it's something with the configuration of the subdomains on the site- I noticed that another photo had terrafirma.smugmug.com and others had photos.smugmug.com- I got the same error for www. and terrafirma. but when I changed it to photos.smugmug.com it worked.
