links to open in a new window

Is this possible? I don't know how many times I've closed out of a window after clicking on a link posted in the thread only to realize that it was opened in the same window the forum was on. Would it be easy to change the links to open in a new window rather than in the same window?

Thanks!

Jin

Not sure, but I would think it's a browser setting, not a forum setting. Personally, I always right-click on links and open them in a new window.

Re: links to open in a new window

In Firefox, right click on the link and one of the options is to open in a new tab or open in a new window along with a few other options.

Re: links to open in a new window

I agree it is annoying. It would be nice if the default was to open a new window.

Re: links to open in a new window

I don't think its a browser setting. There are other forums that I visit and the links open in new windows. Just a suggestion though... if its not an easy adjustment from the admin side, no worries. I've trained myself to manually open new windows for links posted.

Center button, aka press the mouse wheel. Or any of the other ways mentioned.

Also browser history if you accidentally close a window or tab.
