Will the number of "thanks" appear on the post for others to see? I've seen other forums where you can see the amount of "likes".

No - the display is not public; not a popularity contest on a post by post basis. There is already a function in place to rate a thread however.

Very simple formula for Pic's:
First "CROP" them slightly, then "SAVE"...Now you can post and they'll show up as you intended
