Track Floor / Bed System for Sprinter

I have a 2020 Sprinter 144" 4x4 that I'm starting to build out. This is a short roof van and already has a Sportsmobile Penthouse installed. I was planning on installing the Travois 2 rail floor with RnR seat/bed. Problem is the Travois system is very difficult to get right now. Any suggestions out there on options I should consider? I would like a DOT compliant movable back seat that can be used as a bed. I am based in MN.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions,
Richard

Try searching for "SmartFloor".

In total, I have installed 7 of the Travios floors. No real big complaints about the floors other than there is nothing you can do if you damage the finished vinyl. Once it's in and bonded, that's the floor you'll have for the life of the van.

I've seen a SmartFloor up close and it looks pretty good. SmartFloor system has a similar install process and it is permanently bonded but a little more configurable and repairable than the Travois floor.

Either one is going to be safe for seating (assuming it is installed according to the manufacturers specifications), I think that your van layout and the amount of modularity you're looking for would be one of the top considerations.

I've abandoned the seating and flooring business to focus on DIY 4x4 parts and a couple other projects but I do have a fair amount of experience with Travois products and dealing with the company. I'm not going to do any more installs but I'm happy to have a conversation about the process if you're thinking about doing one DIY or finding a vendor to do it.

mgmetalworks - Thanks for the response. I actually have a Travois floor with my name on it but it is at their Canadian shop and the border is closed. If I don't figure out a plan B, I may just wait until I can get up there and have them install the floor. I may take you up on your offer and check back in for advise if questions come up.

Cheers,
texasm
