Re: 2000 4x4 Ford Van Build

Thanks for all the positive comments. This was the first time doing Nevamar or laminating. I had done one other van with cabinets. At that time I did not feel confident to try any laminates. The laminate cutter I am using is a Bosch with a quarter inch bit. And I jumped in with both feet.... At this point I am mostly done with the cabinets. With the exception of latches. Here are a couple more pics....

Nice job!! I like that storage cabinet/cubby above the rear bed section. Good use of space.

Awesome. Did you just use little L brackets inside the cabinets to secure them to the walls? What kind of fasteners? And what about the overhead storage bins? How are they fastened to the roof? Any pics of this?

Very impressive build! I love how clean your interior looks. I wish I had craftsmanship like you. It seems that I have a talant but it's that I break things.

Like the other comments, this looks like a great piece of work. Impressive how quickly you have put it together and how nicely it all ties in.
Great stuff.

Having build a full kitchen cabnet set I think that this is within my grasp but I am unsure how to install any cabinets to the frame. I assume you are attaching them to the ribs inside the van since there are no through fittings on the exterior. Any more details you can give on this?

Well once you put wall panels and floor in, just attach them to the wall panels... how to attach the wall panels then, well I'm not sure.

Re: 2000 4x4 Ford Van Build

Sorry for the delayed response. They make a bracket that is more than a small L bracket and can not be bent. All my cabinets are made with a routered joint and screwed as well as glued. The top is atached along the metal body and the sides where the vertical supports are throughout the van. There is no chance for the cabinets to move and come loose. I will try to post pics asap....
