Full floater, I believe, a Dana 60 from all indications.

The local Pick & Pay had several such vans until just recently and on my last trip I saw only one. I'll have to investigate the price and removal policy. Might have to pay them to remove it for me. Good to know these axles are as common as they are. I also found this chart in my searching.

Hard to believe that every rear axle in each of those listed vehicles would work, but that's still a helluva of a field to choose from. Bound to be one or two of them over at Pop's.

Compatible does not necessarily mean bolt in. I'd try for a Dodge unit from similar years. That will be as close to bolt in as possible.

Use new u bolts. Retorque them after a few hundred miles. All new bushings too. Rock Auto will have them. One ton vans use unique rear shackles and mounts.

Doesn't the Dodge van have 34" frame rails? If yes, all of those on the list should fit, since that entire list looks to be 34" frame vehicles, and they all had drum brakes. About the only thing I'd see differing is shock location. And pinion flange maybe, but that's easy to overcome with an hybrid U-joint.

If I can find a complete third member out of a Dodge van for a reasonable price I'd get that but I might have to get the differential out of a non-B350 rear axle. Not too concerned yet about finding something but I have not really started looking. Still working on passing inspection and then I'll have some breathing room.

Got used tires today in order to pass inspection. Don't like the idea of buying used tires and never have before but the price difference will pay for a junkyard rear axle, and that's important right now. The place had BFG Long Trail T/A in my size with a decent load index and plenty of tread left.

Am I the only one spooked by a vehicle this size hovering on three floor jacks? I was afraid to get near it.

Hit a couple of junkyards looking for a rear axle and did not have much luck. I learned that not all 8-lug rear ends are full floaters with big center stack poking out from the face of the wheel. The Dodges I saw today were not like mine in that respect, but I did find a couple of interesting "camper" pieces I might go back for.

One thing that interested me was a door mount for a spare. Mine mounts on the interior and that will intrude into valuable campin' space. Found two different styles of door-mount; a wide one that mounts across the large single rear door of the passenger vans and the more common smaller one that would fit on one of my rear doors. Trouble is, this one is made for the right and I would choose to mount it on the left "fixed" door rather than on the one with the lock and handle that gets opened first, so it would effectively be upside down when in place on mine. I was hoping to find an under-van spare mount but the Dodges that I finally saw like that have a simple bolt beneath the rear floor pan and no lifting mechanism, so manually boosting a big wheel up to mount there would be a massive chore.

The other camper thing is swivel front buckets and I hit a gold mine or actually more like a brown velvet mine straight out of the '70s. At least if these things were red velvet I could dream of being in a bordello but these are ugly with a capital U. However, there are three of them so the dog would have a matching seat to go right behind the driver's seat. Very important. They swivel and have armrests and reclining backrests but feel like they might be too plush to be really comfortable. However, they're pretty cheap so I'll probably try them out.

There were also a couple of Dodges with receiver hitches and I would probably grab one of them for my van. Looks like it'll be a long day on my next visit to that place.

The tire carrier mounts on the right door panel because the tire overlaps the door joint. So if you mount it on the left door, you won't be able to open the right door. At least with the standard tire bracket. They offset it toward the center of the van to ensure it doesn't obscure the taillight, and so allow the door to still open 180-degrees.

Finally! A fresh new inspection sticker to top off the completed hoop-jumping along with license and insurance to make this puppy street legal and road ready, except for all the other crap that still needs to be done. However, I can relax a little bit now while I begin searching for the camping build stuff and that pesky replacement Dana 60 third member or the parts to rebuild mine. Hooray!

Suggestions:

Find the axle ratio tag on your rear axle housing. Usually bolted to the differential cover. If not find the BOM stamped into the passenger side axle tube. Usually faces rearward about halfway from differential cover to the spring pad. Can be very faint. Use google to lookup Dana Spicer BOM decoding.

Get good at using car-part.com

I punched in zip 23220 and 1992 Dodge 350 van and got this:
