Re: 97 E150 Conversion Mark III -- 4x4 camper van

"We chosen not to offer a DIY option on the TTB conversion."

too bad. But I can understand the issues.

Yeah, I wish mine had the blue accents. I think that is much better than the avocado green I
have.
You wouldn't happen to know the wheel size and offset? 16" or 17" or brand of wheel also would you. No use in re-inventing the wheel when someone has already matched up something that looks that great. I am kind of partial to the Mickey thompsons but the wheels on that van would definitely be something I would consider.

They are 16 inch but I do not recall anything else about them - sorry.

Thanks, that was my main concern. I can't believe it doesn't have a full floater in the rear.

Looks nice! How much modification was needed?

Not much, I used 2 2x6x9 steel tube for spacer. Drilled a couple of holes and that was it.

Tires have rubbed on some big bumps so some trimming may be in order. Still have to make a flat plate for the top.

Could you just increase the rectangular tubing spacer to a 3" x 6" piece for additional clearance?

Looks nice though---totally blends in very well.

Yeah that would do it. I have some adjustment in it and just slid it up to max it out. Next step will be to elongated the vertical mounting holes in it and if that doesn't work I'll 3x6 it. Its very close to clearing. Only hits on a real large pothole before sliding it up. Would probably look better pushed out another inch or even two. I like having something to stand on while working in the engine bay. That's an eBay special by the way 150 total for the bumper and 20 for the steel

Great deal you got there. Are you planning on adding a winch? It looks like you have plenty of room to add some BIG plate between the two 2x6's and put a winch on it, but I would trust that to a shop with a big welder unless you have one, and someone who could verify how strong a homebuilt winch mount would be. With a $399 Harbor Freight winch you might have the best deal going on a good looking front winch bumper.
